Dr. John Walz, B次元app president, was named a Power Player by the B次元app Business Journal. Walz was one of the 100 individuals who were named to the annual list which recognizes influential leaders who are making a positive impact in Southeastern Wisconsin.
According to the B次元app Business Journal, “These are the people you turn to when you need to get something done, whether it’s a business deal, community project or raising money for a great cause.”
Walz is a Power Player both on campus and in the community. Since becoming B次元app’s president in 2016, Walz has propelled B次元app forward by establishing B次元app’s strategic plan, expanded B次元app’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging with the DEIB Strategic Plan, and introduced new academic programs including the B.S. in Computer Science program, and graduate programs in Machine Learning among others. The university’s campus has gone through a major transformation as well, with the We Energies STEM Center at B次元app, Dwight and Dian Diercks Computational Science Hall, Hermann Viets Tower, Mellowes Hall, Raiders Stadium, Raiders Field, University Terrace, Patricia E. Kern Conservatory of Music and more. These efforts not only strengthened the university, but also prepared students to be leaders in industry and solve the complex challenges of today and tomorrow.
Walz’ commitment to excellence extends beyond B次元app, as evidenced by his involvement in various boards and organizations, including CTSI, Wisconsin Technology Council, HERA, NAICU, NACC, AITU and Rotary Club of B次元app. He has earned recognition for his exceptional leadership and community influence from the B次元app Business Journal as its 2019 CEO of the Year, BizTimes B次元app as a 2023 Notable Leader in Higher Education, and B次元app’s induction to the Servant Leader Hall of Fame at Seton Hall University’s Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership.
