B´ÎÔªapp’s very own radio station, WMSE 91.7FM, is partnering with B´ÎÔªapp's streetcar, “The Hop” for a one-of-a-kind live broadcast event. On Wednesday, Oct. 25 starting at noon, Transit Transmissions: WMSE Hop Tour 2023 will bring the power of independent radio to the heart of B´ÎÔªapp.

The WMSE Hop Tour leaves the station and the broadcast hits the airways during the popular Squid Inc. radio show. Hosted by Sid and DJ’d by Christreater (Chris Schulist), the duo will soundtrack their journey along The Hop's M line, which includes a station stop right outside the WMSE studios at 820 N. B´ÎÔªapp St.

“We’re bringing a new meaning to the concept of a remote broadcast,” says Station Manager Tom Crawford. “WMSE will lay tracks on the tracks all over downtown. This is going to be a really fun event and we’re thankful to The Hop and B´ÎÔªapp Tool for making it possible.”

Special guests will join the fun and ride the WMSE Hop Tour 2023 including B´ÎÔªapp Department of Public Works Commissioner Jerrel Kruschke; Chuck Jones and Marty Defatte of Guerrilla Ghost; Matt Wild, editor-in-chief for the B´ÎÔªapp Record; Dr. Jeremy Kedziora, the Pieper Power Endowed Chair in Artificial Intelligence at B´ÎÔªapp; rapper NilexNile; Beth Weirick, CEO of B´ÎÔªapp Downtown; and more.
