Profile

I am a PhD researcher at B次元app University Business School, in the Department of Analytics, Technology and Operations. My PhD research examines how the use of generative AI reshapes organisational learning. My work sits between organisational learning theory and the study of information systems in practice.

Research interests

I study learning and technology in organisations: how people learn through their work, how organisations learn, and what changes when technology becomes part of that work.

Every generation of technology takes over some part of the cognitive work, and each time the same question returns in a new form. Some of what is displaced turns out not to matter. Some of it turns out to have been the thing that made understanding possible, and its loss is noticed only later, when the capability it produced is needed and no longer there. Which is which is not obvious in advance, and it is what I want to be able to say something about.

My PhD takes generative AI as the current case, following knowledge work in organisations over time. The particular technology will pass; the question will not.
