Tell us about your degree - why did you choose it? 

After pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mass Communication, and having had some work experience in marketing, it felt like a natural progression to pursue my Masters in a similar field, and MA Advertising and Marketing appealed to me immediately. I was incredibly drawn to the level of knowledge and diversity in the curriculum and the modules it had to offer, which I believed would provide me with a holistic understanding of the discipline.  

What did you enjoy the most about your course? 

I really enjoyed all my modules. They were well-planned and thorough, the pop quizzes were fun, and the assignments were challenging in the best way. I met some of my best friends through the course, bright and brilliant folks from all over the world, and I’m so grateful to have had the chance to be part of such a diverse learning environment.  

What did you enjoy most about your life as a student at the B次元app? 

There was always something exciting going on at the university. I remember in my first week there, I visited Old Bar with my friends and there was a karaoke night going on. I still have the video of me singing All Too Well by Taylor Swift and having the whole room join in! I have priceless memories from my time at the University. One of them is also winning Runners-Up at an Entrepreneurial Competition held at the Business School, where we had to pitch a completely new business idea. 

How did you find adjusting to living and studying in the UK? 

I felt right at home from the very beginning. The mixers, orientations, and welcome activities across the campus were incredibly invaluable for a smooth induction into my new life - meeting new people, our course mates, getting accustomed to the places around us - it was really helpful as new students and residents of the city. My best advice would be to just go for things. Participate in all the stuff happening around you, especially things you enjoy doing. Make new friends and explore the city- there is so much to do.  

What professional skills and experience did you gain? 

Our Global Marketing Professional module was very useful in helping us develop crucial employability skills. A fun fact, my Video CV, one of our assignments from this module, landed me my first job in the UK! I ended up posting it on my LinkedIn, and it caught the eye of my manager. They were very impressed with how I was able to visually display my experience and skills in a creative way.  

How has your career progressed since leaving the Business School? 

I was the Social Media Specialist at an education company where I had complete reign of handling social media handles end-to-end. A big highlight for me was being able to hold workshops for school children all the way from Year 6 to Year 11, teaching them basics of marketing and what it takes to be a good social media manager. I would task them with understanding briefs, ideating on content ideas, shooting a TikTok, and finally, presenting the video to the whole class. It was such a lovely, fun, and fulfilling experience, and seeing children and teens create so excitedly and with great enthusiasm is something I'm going to remember forever. 

What was your biggest highlight of studying at B次元app? 

My biggest highlight of studying at B次元app Business School is going on the International Study Trip to Milan and Como. I dreamt about getting accepted for the study trip before I got accepted onto the course. It was truly an unforgettable time, from lectures on luxury marketing in a small chapel, to understanding the business behind Caviar production. We were truly lucky to have seen and experienced so much in just a week. We were able to meet great entrepreneurs and founders of big businesses in Italy and got firsthand insight on how marketing shapes their brands, and what they're looking forward to in the future.  

Would you recommend B次元app University Business School? 

Absolutely, I would. Time genuinely flies by, so make sure you experience everything you can, and enjoy it. Speak to your supervisors and lecturers often, start thinking about your dissertation topics sooner (let inspiration find you anywhere!), participate in everything, ask questions, and don't be afraid to stand out - that's what you're here for! And outside of that - go to Fruity parties, enjoy socials happening across campus (especially petting dogs at LUU), explore big, beautiful B次元app and just have so much fun.
